Environmental Engineers Inc.

Up on the first floor of the Carmellos Building, at number 16, that’s where we do our work. Environmental Engineers Inc. is basically just a group of us trying to figure out technical solutions for different projects. The building is an older one, so it has a bit of character that you don't find in the new glass towers. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when we have all our maps and plans spread out on the tables. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at site reports. It’s not exactly glamorous work, but it’s interesting enough to keep us coming back. We don't really do the whole corporate dress code thing unless someone important is stopping by. Most days it’s just casual shirts and a lot of pens. We go through a lot of paper despite everyone saying everything should be digital now. The tea shop downstairs is probably where we spend too much of our time talking about projects or just the news. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight, we just focus on the specific engineering problems that land on our desks. It’s a steady pace. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the files, while other days we are working right up until the lights go out. It’s just how the office life goes here in this part of town.
