Engem Electricals

Worli is a crowded place. Our spot on Dr. E. Moses Road is right in the middle of it all. At Engem Electricals, we spend a lot of time looking at wires and components. It is mostly manual work, checking stock and making sure the orders are ready to go out. The building isn't new, and the walls could probably use some paint, but it works for what we do. Outside, the traffic is constant, and you can hear the horns all day. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, but mostly we are focused on the work inside. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running at full speed. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding a place to park on this road. We have to run out and help them guide the boxes in. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes. People think electrical work is all high-tech, but for us, it is mostly just making sure the right parts get to the right people without too many mistakes. We have been at this address for a while now. Most of the local shopkeepers know us by name. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Mumbai. We just want to get through the orders and make sure the lights stay on. It is a long day, but that is just how it goes in this part of town. We finish up and lock the shutters late.
