Electro Cabletronics

Electro Cabletronics operates out of the Kamath Building, specifically building number seven, which is tucked away off Lamington Road on Shamrao Vittal Marg. This whole area near Grant Road East is famous for electronics, so we fit right in. We are quite close to the post office, which is handy for all the mail we send and receive. The office is exactly what you would expect from a business in this part of Mumbai. It’s packed with cables, electronic parts, and components. There isn't much room to walk around sometimes because we have so much stock coming in and going out. It is a bit of a maze in the Kamath Building, but we’ve been here long enough that we could find our way in the dark. We handle a lot of small parts and specialized cables that people need for their projects or repairs. It’s a bit dusty and the building is old, but it has character. We don't do any big advertising; most people find us because they are already in the Lamington Road area looking for parts. We spend our days counting out connectors, cutting wires to length, and talking to the other shop owners nearby. It is a very hands-on kind of job. No corporate uniforms here, just regular clothes and a lot of work to get through before the sun goes down and we lock up the shutters.
