Eastern Engineering Company

We are based in the Jeevan Udyog building on Dr. D. N. Road. It’s a busy part of town and the building has a lot of history. Eastern Engineering is a place where we deal with machine parts and technical stuff. The office is full of blueprints and old catalogs that have been there since I started. We have some heavy metal components sitting on the floor because they are too heavy for the shelves. It’s not the cleanest place, as there is usually a bit of grease or metal dust around. We spend our time talking to mechanics and plant managers who need specific parts for their equipment. Sometimes it takes a while to find the right piece in the warehouse, but we eventually get there. We don't have a lot of modern furniture. Most of the desks are heavy metal ones from twenty years ago. The phones ring quite a bit and it gets noisy during the peak hours. We aren't trying to be a big corporate firm. We are just a local company that understands how machines work. I usually spend my morning going through the inventory lists. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and ask a question without any fuss. We just do our jobs and try to stay helpful to the people who come by.
