Dynamic Engineering

We run Dynamic Engineering out of Sakinaka, in the New Vivek Nagar 1 area. If you’ve ever been to Sakinaka, you know it’s one of the busiest places in Mumbai. There is constant noise from the traffic and the other workshops nearby. Our place is no different. We have machines running most of the day, making parts and fixing things. It’s loud and it’s greasy, but it’s what we do. We’ve been in Vivek Nagar for quite a few years now. We started with just a couple of old lathes and a lot of hope. Now we have a bit more equipment, but the way we work hasn't changed much. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have the workshop floor and a small desk where we keep the invoices. People bring us sketches or old parts that have worn out, and we see if we can machine a replacement. It’s practical engineering, nothing like what you see in the movies. We deal with a lot of local businesses that need their machines back up and running fast. We don't make big promises, we just tell them when it will be ready and what it will cost. Usually, we’re covered in metal shavings by lunchtime. It’s a tough environment but we’ve made a decent life here in Sakinaka. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The shop might be small, but we handle whatever comes through the door.
