Dr Sandesh Mayekars Clinic

We’ve been here at Mayur Niwas on Dr Ambedkar Road for quite some time now. You know how this area gets, it’s always got something going on outside the doors. The clinic isn't some giant fancy place with glass walls, it’s just 169 A, a spot where people from around the neighborhood come when they need a bit of help. Most days start early before the traffic really kicks in. We see a lot of familiar faces, folks who live just a few blocks away or work in the shops nearby. It’s funny how you get to know the rhythm of the street just by looking out the window between appointments. Sometimes it’s quiet, sometimes it’s loud, but that’s just life on Ambedkar Road. We try to keep things straightforward here. There’s no big reception desk with ten people clicking on computers. It’s usually just a couple of us making sure everything is tidy and the files are where they should be. We don't really do the whole corporate thing because that’s not who we are. We’re just here in the building, doing our jobs and helping out the families that stop by. It’s a bit of an older building, Mayur Niwas, but it has a lot of character and everyone knows where it is. If you’re walking down the road, you’ll see our sign. It’s a plain place, but it works for us and the people who come to see us.
