Our office is tucked away in 162 B of the Government Colony in Bandra East. If you know Mumbai, you know this area is always moving and full of energy. It’s a bit of a maze inside the colony, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home to us. The building is older, with that specific look that most government-built structures have from years ago. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big lobby with a sofa. It’s just a set of rooms where we do our work. Most of us take the train to Bandra station and then catch an auto or just walk over if the weather isn't too bad. It’s a short commute but can be very sweaty in the summer months when the humidity is high. Inside, the fans are always spinning and there are stacks of files on almost every surface. We aren’t really the type to have corporate lunches or catered meetings. We usually just bring our dabbas from home and eat together while talking about the cricket score or the latest news in the city. It’s a simple atmosphere. We focus on the tasks we have and try to get things right without making a big deal out of it. There is no marketing team here. We are just engineers and office staff trying to make progress on our projects. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy working.
