Don Bosco Maritime Academy

We are right in the middle of the hustle in Sakinaka, Mumbai. Our office is at Room 8 in Gomes Chawl, which is on the 90 Feet Road. If you know Andheri East, you know this area is always packed with people and traffic. Being in a chawl means we are part of the real Mumbai life. It’s a small room, but it’s where all the work for the maritime academy happens. We’ve got some old wooden benches and a couple of desks where we handle all the admissions and paperwork. It’s not a fancy school with a big campus; it’s just a humble spot where people come to learn about the sea. The noise from the 90 Feet Road is constant, with horns honking and people shouting, but it’s just background noise to us now. We’ve been here in Satya Nagar for a long time and everyone in the neighborhood knows where we are. We don't have fancy air conditioning or glass walls. It’s just a plain room with a fan that squeaks a bit. We keep things very simple and practical. We don't have a big team of administrators, just a couple of us who know the maritime business inside and out. It’s hard work being in such a crowded spot, but we like the energy of Sakinaka. We just take things one student at a time and do our bit from this little room.
