Dhanwantari Clinic

You can find Dhanwantari Clinic over at 6 Vaishali Niwas, right next to the Chirag Nagar Police Quarters. This is in the Parsiwadi area of Ghatkopar West. Being so close to the police quarters means there’s always something going on outside our door. The street is usually crowded with people walking to the station or heading to the local markets. Our clinic is just a small room in the building. It’s got an old-fashioned feel to it, which suits this part of Ghatkopar. We have been here long enough that we know the sounds of the neighborhood by heart. There’s a bench outside where people sometimes sit if the waiting room is full. Inside, it’s mostly just the doctor’s desk and some cabinets for files. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a good ceiling fan that does the job. Most of our patients are people who live in the surrounding chawls and apartments. They stop by because they know us and it’s convenient for them. We aren't trying to be a big medical center. We just want to be the local spot where you can get checked out without a lot of fuss. It's a busy life in Parsiwadi, and we are glad to be a small part of it. We keep our hours regular and the door is always unlocked during the day.
