Dhanashree Ambulance Service

We run Dhanashree Ambulance Service from Acharya Wadi in Wadavali-Chembur East. We are situated right near the Golf Club in Mumbai, which is a nice area, though our work is usually a bit more intense than a game of golf. Our vans are parked nearby, ready for whenever we get a call. Chembur East can be a crowded place, especially with the traffic, so we have to be smart about how we navigate the streets. We’ve been doing this for quite some time. The drivers know every turn in Acharya Wadi and the surrounding neighborhoods. Most of our calls come from local residents who need to get to a hospital in a hurry. It’s a job that requires us to be awake at odd hours. Sometimes it's a quiet Sunday morning, and other times it's the middle of a rainy night. We just keep the vehicles maintained and the stretchers ready. The team is made up of guys who are used to the Mumbai pace. We don't have a big office or anything. It’s mostly about being in the vehicle and on the road. We see people at their most stressed moments, so we just try to stay calm and do our part. It’s a basic service, but it’s needed here. We just stick to our routine and wait for the next person who needs a ride. It isn't easy work, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been near the Golf Club for years, helping people out in Wadavali.
