Even though the name is Descon Engineering Qatar Llc, we are actually based right here in Mumbai. Our office is in the 400072 area of Maharashtra. It’s a busy part of the city, like most of Mumbai is. We spend our time working on engineering projects, which usually involves a lot of coordination and looking over plans. The office isn't particularly fancy; it’s more about having a functional space where we can get the work done. We have a mix of people here, some who’ve been in the industry for years and others who are just starting out. The Mumbai weather usually means the air conditioning is running full blast most of the time. We aren't tucked away in some high-rise; we’re just in a regular building where we can easily talk to each other without having to go through three secretaries. It’s a bit of a trek for some of us to get here in the morning traffic, but that’s just part of living in this city. We don't have a lot of corporate rules about how to dress or talk; we just focus on the engineering tasks at hand. It’s a practical environment. Sometimes we’re dealing with things overseas, but our daily life happens here on the ground in Maharashtra. It’s a steady routine of meetings, emails, and checking figures. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
