We are located at Unit 10 in Building 2/b, which is part of the Mittal Industrial Estate right on the busy Andheri Kurla Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how crazy the traffic gets around Andheri East. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we handle all our export paperwork and talk to clients. The building has that old industrial smell, a mix of machine oil and dust, but it’s where we’ve been for quite some time now. Most mornings start with the sound of trucks reversing and the local tea seller making his rounds through the estate. We spend most of our day on the phone or tracking shipments. It gets pretty loud outside with the constant honking from the main road, but inside we just try to keep things moving. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure the orders go out when they are supposed to. Sometimes the rain leaks a bit near the window during monsoon, and we have to move the files, but that’s just how it is here. It’s a grit and grind kind of place, nothing like the shiny offices you see in the movies. We just focus on getting the goods from point A to point B without too much fuss. It's a lot of coordination with the docks and the transport guys, which keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days.
