Finding us in Parekh Market isn't too hard once you get to the Opera House area. We are up on the fourth floor at number 406. It’s one of those busy buildings where everyone seems to be in a hurry. J.S.S. Road is always packed with cars and bikes, especially near Kennedy Bridge. Inside our space, things are a bit quieter though. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the tables looking at various stones. The light has to be clear for that kind of work. We’ve been here long enough that the commute feels like second nature now. It’s a small team of us. We keep our own records and handle the parcels that come in and out every day. The office isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we put things. There is usually a pot of tea on somewhere. People from other offices in the building sometimes stop by just to say hello or talk about the market. It is a bit of a community in this building. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most people who come to us already know where we are. Dealing with gems is a slow process sometimes. You can't rush looking at the stones or grading them. We just take our time and do it right. It’s a steady kind of life here at the Opera House. The building has seen better days, but it serves us well for what we do and we like it here.
