Dancing Sensational

Down on Poisar Gymkhana Road at 17/14, you'll find our little spot. Kandivali West is a crowded place, and our street is no different. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized. There’s a lot of coming and going throughout the day. The building is older, so the stairs can be a bit steep when you’re carrying gear. We’ve got some posters on the walls that have been there for years, showing different styles that we’ve tried out over time. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we all just wait in the dark until it kicks back in. It’s part of the charm, I guess. We have a small area for people to change their clothes, but it’s mostly just a curtain pulled across a corner. The floor is wooden and makes a bit of noise when everyone jumps at the same time. We try to keep the windows shut to not bother the neighbors too much, but the music still leaks out. It’s a busy life here. Most of us have been around this area forever, so we know the people walking by. It isn't a big corporate setup. It's just a room where we get to do what we like. We have a water dispenser that’s always running out because everyone is thirsty. It’s a simple life, really, just keeping the rhythm going on Gymkhana Road.
