Kamat Exports is at 768 Krishna Nivas, and it is a pretty busy spot most days. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or digging through old files to make sure things are moving. It is not a fancy corporate setup with glass walls. We just have a few desks and computers that have seen better days. The number 768 on the front door is a little faded now. Most people around here know us because we have been at this address for quite a while. We deal with exports, which involves a lot of emails to people in different time zones. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait, but we always manage to get the job done eventually. It is mostly about making sure the crates get to where they need to go without getting stuck. If you ever come by the office, you will see piles of paperwork on almost every surface. It looks messy to anyone else, but we know exactly where every document is kept. The coffee machine broke last week, so we have been getting tea from the stall downstairs. It is actually a nice change. We are not trying to be the biggest company in the city.
