Hems Exim

Hems Exim is based at E-1 in the Vishwabharati Co-Op Housing Society over in Indira Nagar. It's a bit different from having a shop on a main road because it’s much quieter here. We have a small office space that we’ve been using for a few years now. It’s mostly just a place to handle the administrative side of the export business. There are three of us who work here regularly, and we spend most of our time dealing with customs documents and talking to suppliers. The society is a nice place to work, though sometimes the neighbors complain if we have too many deliveries arriving at once. We don't have a big neon sign or anything, just a small nameplate near the door. The office is usually filled with the sound of the printer going and someone talking on their mobile. We have a lot of samples stored in the back room, mostly in old cardboard boxes that we’ve labeled with markers. It’s not a high-tech operation, but we have a system that works for us. Finding the place can be a little tricky the first time because all the blocks in Indira Nagar look similar, but once you know where we are, it’s easy. We don’t really do any advertising. Most people find out about us through word of mouth or by knowing someone we’ve worked with before. We just try to keep things straightforward and do our work without making a big fuss about things.
