Clinic Nr Abdul Malik Clinic

Our place, Clinic Nr Abdul Malik Clinic, is tucked away in Gajan Colony in Govandi. If you know Plot 76, you know where we are. It’s a busy part of the colony and there is always noise from the street, kids playing or people shouting to their neighbors. Our clinic is right near Abdul Malik’s place, which serves as a good landmark for anyone who gets lost in the winding lanes here. We have a small room where people wait, and it can get pretty cramped when three or four families show up at once. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. There are some chairs, a desk, and our medical supplies. Life in Govandi is fast and sometimes difficult, so we try to be a steady presence for the people living nearby. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It might be a mother with a small child or an older man with a recurring ache. We do our best to help everyone out. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or the light flickers, but we just fix it and keep going. We aren't some fancy private facility from downtown; we are just a local clinic trying to help our neighbors stay healthy. It’s hard work, but when someone comes back to say they are feeling better, it makes the long hours worth it. We stay open late most days.
