Chate Classes

We are over at 16/52 Welfare House in Sion West, Mumbai. Chate Classes has been in this spot for quite a while now. If you know Mumbai, you know that Sion is a place that is always moving and always loud. Our place in Welfare House is where the students come to learn and prepare for their futures. It’s not a huge campus with trees or anything, just some plain rooms with wooden benches and whiteboards. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a big batch of students comes in for a session, but we always find a way to fit everyone in. The old fans are always buzzing overhead to try and keep the Mumbai heat away. It can get really loud with the traffic from the street outside, but once the lesson starts, everyone usually focuses on the books. We aren't some big corporate school with fancy uniforms or high-tech gadgets in every room. We just have teachers who know their subjects well and students who are trying hard to pass their exams. We spend our days grading piles of papers or explaining the same math problems over and over until they finally click. It’s a lot of hard work for everyone involved. We see students coming in after their regular school hours, looking tired but ready to study for a few more hours. We’ve been part of the 400022 area for a long time now.
