Our office is in the Yawat Sema Building, which serves as the Central Office for us. It is a pretty solid building and everyone in the area knows it quite well. We have a lot of floors here and many people working at different desks. My day usually involves getting in and checking the messages that came in overnight. It is a big place, so you hear a lot of footsteps and the sound of people talking in the hallways all the time. We have those old-style metal desks that have been here forever. They are sturdy but a bit noisy when you open the drawers. The windows look out over the city and you can see the traffic moving along the main roads. We spend a lot of time dealing with various files and making sure everything is sorted correctly. It can be a bit repetitive, but it is steady work and we are glad to have it. Sometimes the tea man comes around with a tray and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just the standard posters and notices that have been there for years. The light is a bit dim in some of the corners but we have our desk lamps. It is just a regular government-style office environment where we do our part to keep things moving along for the public. It keeps us occupied from morning till night.
