Carline Auto is tucked away in the Mungekar Industrial Estate over in Vishweshewar Nagar. We are up on the first floor at 4-A, which sometimes makes moving parts a bit of a task, but we’ve got our system down. The industrial estate is always full of noise and people moving crates around. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't familiar with the layout of the buildings here, but we’ve been in this spot for quite a while. Our daily routine involves a lot of paperwork and checking inventory in the back. We deal with auto components and everything that goes along with that. It’s a lot of metal and grease and boxes stacked up. The lighting isn't always the brightest up here on the first floor, but it works for what we need. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or making the place look like a showroom. It’s more of a functional space where the real work happens. Most of us have been in the auto trade for long enough that we can tell what’s what just by looking at it. We just handle the orders and talk to the guys who come in for parts. It’s a plain, honest way to spend the day. Sometimes the elevator is slow or the stairs are a workout, but that’s just part of being in an older industrial building like this in the city.
