Chetna Exports

Our place is in Brij Bhavan, which is at 6/13 1st Marine Street. It’s a very busy part of town near Dhobi Talao. If you know the area, we are right opposite Metro Cinema, which is a big landmark that everyone knows. We are also next to Harvic Restaurant, so we often smell whatever they are cooking for lunch, which can be a bit distracting when you’re hungry. Chetna Exports is on the first floor. The building is one of those old Mumbai structures with high ceilings and thick walls. We have desks tucked into corners and stacks of folders everywhere you look. Working in Dhobi Talao means there is always energy outside. You hear the traffic and the people heading to the cinema all day long. It’s a good spot because everything is close by. We spend a lot of time dealing with export paperwork and coordinating with the docks and other offices. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking and double-checking lists. The office isn't very modern, but it’s sturdy and serves us well. We’ve got a small window that looks out towards the street, though we mostly keep it shut because of the dust. We just come in, do our hours, and head home like everyone else in this part of the city. It’s just a regular office life in a very old, busy neighborhood. We like the local food around here too.
