New Classic Tarpauline

Being located near the Metro West Highway in Borivali East means there’s a constant hum of trucks and cars passing by. New Classic Tarpauline is situated at No. 19 in the Blue Rose Industrial Estate. It’s a wide space because we need room to spread out those big heavy sheets of plastic and fabric. Tarpaulins are not easy to handle; they are bulky and get quite dusty when they sit for a while. Most of our day involves dragging these rolls across the floor to measure them out or check for any holes. The industrial estate has a lot of other businesses, so there is always some noise from machinery or people loading up vans. When the monsoon season is coming, things get much more frantic around here. Everyone suddenly remembers they need a cover for their roof or their truck. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The office part of the shop is just a small desk with some old ledgers and a telephone that rings more than it should. Sometimes the heat inside the estate gets a bit much, but we have a couple of big fans going to keep the air moving. We aren't doing anything complicated here, just selling covers and making sure they are the right size for whatever the customer needs. It’s been our routine at this Borivali spot for a good long time now and we're used to it.
