You can find me over at 22 Dr Dhubash Bldg on Wadia Street in Tardeo. It’s an old building, the kind where the stairs are a bit narrow and you can hear the neighbors through the walls if they’re talking too loud. I’ve been working out of this space for quite some time now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Tardeo is always moving and always noisy, but once I step into the office, things feel a bit more grounded. The walls are lined with bookshelves that are pretty much overflowing at this point. I really should get around to organizing them, but there’s always something else to do. My desk is usually a bit of a disaster area with notes and pens scattered everywhere. I don’t go in for all that modern minimalist furniture. I like my old wooden chair and the way the light comes through the window in the late afternoon. People who come to see me are usually from around here or have been told about the office by someone they know. We don’t do any advertising or have a shiny sign outside. It’s just a quiet place to get work done and talk to people face-to-face. Sometimes I take a break and walk down the street to grab a snack, and I end up talking to three different people I know on the way back. That’s just how it is here.
