You can find us on the 4th floor of the BMC Building over on Bhandup Station Road. Being right there in Bhandup West means there is never a quiet moment because of the trains and the people rushing to the station. The lift in this building is pretty slow, so a lot of us just end up taking the stairs, which is a good workout if nothing else. The office itself is a bit cramped because we have boxes stacked up in most of the corners. We have got windows that look out toward the tracks, and you can see the platform clearly from here. It gets really noisy when the express trains go past, but after a few weeks, you stop noticing it. The paint is peeling a little near the window sill, and the carpet has seen better days, but it is a functional space for what we do. We mostly spend our time on the phone or working on the computers. Since it is a government building, there are always people coming and going in the hallways, so it feels very lived-in. It is not the quietest place to work, but being so close to the station makes it easy for everyone to get here in the morning. We usually grab snacks from the vendors downstairs during the afternoon break. It is just a typical busy office in a very busy part of Mumbai where we get our daily tasks done.
