We are located in the Tawawala Building on the second floor. That’s at 147/29 Lohar Chawl, which is quite close to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. If you know Mumbai at all, you know how crowded Lohar Chawl gets every single day. It’s a mess of people, handcarts, and goods being moved around in the heat. We are right in the thick of it. We do trading, mostly dealing with hardware and various electrical parts that people need for their shops. Our office is old and packed with samples and cardboard boxes. It’s not the kind of place where you’d bring a camera for a magazine. It’s a working space. We’ve been here for many years, following the old traditions of the market. Most of our business is done through handshakes and old contacts we have known for decades. We don't really have a website that we update or anything like that. The stairs up to the second floor are steep and narrow, but we are used to them by now. It’s loud outside with the shouting of vendors and the constant horns from the station area. We like the energy of the market though. It’s where the real business happens in this city. We spend our time taking orders, checking our stock, and making sure deliveries go out on time through the narrow lanes. It is a simple operation. We aren't looking to be famous. We just want to keep the shop running and help the people who come to us for specific parts.
