Belting Enterprises Pvt Ltd is tucked away in the Nand Bhuvan Industrial Estate. We are in unit A-21 on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri. It’s an old industrial area, and it definitely feels like it. The walls of our unit are a bit scuffed and there is always a faint smell of rubber and grease because of the industrial belts we handle. We have piles of different sized belts stacked up on heavy metal racks reaching the ceiling. It’s not a place for someone who likes shiny, clean offices. We’ve been in Andheri for a long time, and we've seen the whole neighborhood grow and get more crowded. The road outside is constantly busy with delivery vans and trucks trying to navigate the narrow turns. Our team is small, and we mostly just wear our regular clothes and get to work. We don't have any fancy brochures or a dedicated sales team. Most people find us because they’ve been buying from us for decades or their father used to buy from us. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting belts to size for different machines. It’s practical, hands-on work. When the monsoon hits, the estate gets a bit damp and we have to make sure everything stays dry. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s a solid, honest business and we are just happy to keep the machines in the city running. It’s hard work but it pays the bills.
