Avishkar Classes

Dadar West is always a whirlwind of people and traffic. Our office is in the Ashoka Complex on Ranade Road. We are specifically in the B Wing on the first floor. It is a very busy part of Mumbai, especially with the Ranade Road Post Office right nearby. You can hear the post office trucks and the crowds from the market all day long. The building is one of those classic Dadar structures. The stairs are a bit worn down from all the students walking up and down over the years. We have a few different rooms for the classes. It’s not a huge place, but we make the most of the square footage we have. Sometimes the rains make the windows rattle, but the roof doesn't leak, so that is good. We keep a stash of extra pens and paper in the corner for anyone who forgets theirs. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed despite the noise outside. We start early in the morning and usually stay until the sun goes down. There isn't any fancy signage, just the name on the door so people know they’ve found the right wing. It’s a plain, hardworking environment. We don't have a coffee machine or a lounge, just chairs and desks. It serves our purpose well enough for what we do every day. The local tea stall is just a two-minute walk if we need a break from the books. It's just how things are in Dadar.
