Ami Exports

Ami Exports is right on the ground floor at 63 Nagdevi Street. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes are. It’s one of the oldest trading areas. We’ve been here for years. Our space isn't big, but we use every inch of it for the export business. Nagdevi Street is famous for hardware and tools, so there is always a lot of shouting and hauling going on outside. We mostly deal with overseas orders from this little shop. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have enough light to see our work. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have. It’s a community of traders. We keep things straightforward. You come in, we talk about what you need, and we try to get it shipped. There is no air conditioning in the front, just a ceiling fan that’s seen better days. We don’t mind. It feels like home to us. The address is simple to find if you know the street. Just look for number 63. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. No fancy titles, just us working in the heart of the market.
