Ashini Polyclinic

You will find Ashini Polyclinic on the ground floor of the Mukti Building. This is in the Vakola Pipeline area of Santacruz East. It is a very busy neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes and people moving everywhere. The Mukti Building is easy enough to spot once you get onto the pipeline road. Being on the ground floor means we get a lot of dust from the street, so we are always wiping down the counters and the chairs. There is a constant sound of motorcycles and people talking outside the door. Inside, the polyclinic has a few different sections for different things. It’s a bit of a maze if you haven't been here before. We have some plastic chairs in the waiting area that have been there for years and they work fine. The ceiling fans hum loudly all day long to keep the air moving. It's a practical space, meant for seeing people and getting them on their way with what they need. We don't have fancy art on the walls or soft music playing in the background. It’s more about the medicine and the patients who come to see us. Santacruz East is a hectic place, and our clinic feels like a part of that daily energy. Sometimes the water pressure in the building acts up, but we manage to get by. Most of the people who come here live right in the Vakola area. Ashini Polyclinic is just a local spot that has been around.
