A.R.Daruwall'S Polyclinic

Tardeo is such a busy part of Mumbai. Being in the Dhana Patel Building means we are right in the thick of things. A.R.Daruwall'S Polyclinic has been here at No. 232 for quite some time. The building is one of those older structures that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow. Being near Swati Snacks is a double-edged sword because it always smells like good food outside, which makes us hungry by noon. The clinic isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. I usually spend my morning checking the appointment book and seeing who is coming in from the neighborhood. Some of our patients have been coming to this same spot for years, back when the road was a bit quieter. We have a few benches for sitting and the walls are a simple off-white color that we try to keep clean. It gets pretty loud with the traffic on Tardeo Main Road, especially during the evening rush. Sometimes I have to close the windows just to hear what someone is saying. It is a practical setup here, nothing too flashy. We just keep our equipment ready and the lights on from morning until we head home. It feels like a small part of the history of this street. Living and working in this part of town means you get used to the constant hum of the city right outside your door. I usually walk to the station after we close up for the night.
