Architecture BRIO

Our studio is located at 4 New Commonwealth Chs, right on 229 Linking Road in Bandra West. Linking Road is probably one of the most famous and busiest streets in Mumbai, so there’s always a lot of energy and noise outside. We are on one of the floors of the New Commonwealth building. Inside, it’s a bit of a different world from the street. We have long tables covered in architectural models, rolls of tracing paper, and various material samples. It’s a working studio, so it’s rarely tidy. We have a small team and we spend most of our hours hunched over drawings or having discussions around the central table. Bandra West is a great place for an architecture firm because there’s so much interesting stuff happening all around us. The building itself is older, which gives it some character, though the elevator can be a bit temperamental at times. We don't have a formal reception area; you just walk in and you're right in the middle of where the work happens. We try to keep things simple and focus on the projects we have at hand. Usually, there’s music playing in the background to drown out some of the traffic noise from Linking Road. It’s a functional, creative space where we spend a lot of our time. We’ve settled into this Bandra spot and it feels like the right place for us to be working every day.
