Anushka Tutorials is located over at B 36/8 in Governor Colony. If you know Bandra East, you probably know the Hanuman Mandir nearby, which is usually how we tell people to find us when they get lost looking for the specific block. We’ve been here in this part of the colony for years. It isn't a massive institute with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a practical space where we sit down with students and go over their lessons. Sometimes the room gets a bit warm during the afternoons, but we open the windows and just get on with the work. Most of the kids who come here live right in the colony or just a few streets away, so they usually just walk over after their morning school is done. We keep a few stacks of old papers and textbooks around for whoever needs them. It's a bit cluttered sometimes because we’ve been collecting material for so long. We like being near the temple because it’s a landmark everyone recognizes. Dealing with the daily rush of Bandra East can be a lot, but inside the tutorial room, things are usually a bit more focused on the books. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look fancy. The focus is just on the teaching and making sure the students understand what they’re reading. It’s a local place run by local people who’ve lived in this area for a long time.
