Our place is tucked away at 16 Bandra West, right in the Unchi Pole area. If you know Bandra, you know these narrow lanes can be a bit of a squeeze. Anoshak Engineering isn't a huge factory or anything like that. It’s more of a workshop where there’s always the sound of machines running or someone hammering something. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment squeezed into the shop. We’ve been at this address for years and the neighbors are used to us by now. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the big fans going full blast. Working in engineering means your hands are always a bit greasy and there’s metal shavings on the floor, no matter how much you sweep. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we're checking an order. Most of the time, we’re at the benches working. The pole area has its own vibe, very local and busy. People walk past the door all day long. We just focus on the jobs that come in. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we know. Sometimes we stay late when a big job needs finishing, and the street gets quiet except for our lights. It’s a steady life here. We just do the work as it comes and try to stay organized in a small space, making sure we don't trip over the scrap metal that piles up by the back door during the busy weeks.
