Anjali Matching Center

Anjali Matching Center is located at 146 in Andheri West. We are very close to the Ram Mandir, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone who hasn't visited before. Being near the temple means the street is always busy, especially on festival days or weekends. Our shop is filled with different fabrics and threads, and we spend a huge part of our day trying to help people find the exact shade they need. It’s a lot of looking at tiny details and comparing colors under the lights. The shop is quite packed, so there isn't much room to move around once a few customers are inside. We have rolls of cloth stacked up almost to the ceiling in some corners. It’s a bit dusty, no matter how much we clean, but that’s just the nature of dealing with textiles. We’ve been here for years, and we know most of the ladies who come in from the neighborhood. We don't have any computer systems for our inventory; we just know where everything is by heart. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when it’s crowded, but we just take it one person at a time. After we close up for the evening, we spend some time tidying the shelves because everything gets pulled out during the day. It’s a simple, hardworking shop that doesn't try to be anything more than what it is, just a local spot for local people.
