Rakish Exports Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away inside the Mittal Industrial Estate in Andheri East. We are at number 6/ 151. If you have ever been to Andheri, you know how hectic the Andheri-Kurla Road can get at almost any time of day. The estate itself is quite large and full of small workshops and offices like ours. It can be quite noisy with the sound of machinery and delivery trucks coming and going at all hours. Our space is just a basic office where we manage our export business. We have a couple of old desks and a computer that is a bit slow but still gets the job done. Most of our work is about logistics and paperwork, which isn't very exciting but it is what we do. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to track down shipments or talking to people at the port. The lighting in the estate isn't the best, so we have a few extra lamps around the desks to help us see. There is a small canteen in the estate where we go for tea or a quick snack during the day. We are just a small group of staff members working together to make sure our orders are filled and sent out on time. It is a practical environment and we don't worry much about how the office looks as long as the work gets finished and the cargo is shipped.
