Ambernath East is a long way out for some, but it’s where all the industrial action is. We are in the Additional MIDC area at Anandnagar. Our office is Unit 101 in the I Wing of Plot K-1, Udyog Bhavan 2. It’s a big building. The easiest way to find us is to look for Godrej Gate No. 2, because we are right opposite that. The area is full of factories and warehouses. Annair Drychill Tech (I) Pvt. Ltd. fits right into this landscape. The commute can be a bit of a grind depending on where you're coming from in Thane District. The air out here always has that metallic, industrial scent. During the monsoon, the roads around the MIDC get pretty muddy. Our unit is fairly spacious, but it’s strictly for work. We don’t have fancy art on the walls or a coffee machine that makes lattes. We have a kettle and some local tea bags. There’s a lot of movement in the corridors of Udyog Bhavan. People are always rushing around with clipboards and blueprints. We spend our days looking at technical specs and talking to the workshop guys. It’s a functional environment. You can see the Godrej gate from our window, watching the trucks go in and out all day. It’s a busy, noisy part of town, but it’s where we belong. We just focus on the task and head home once the shift is done.
