Akbar Classes

Akbar Classes is located in Govandi East. We are a local place where students come after their regular school hours to get a bit of extra help. It’s not a big fancy academy or anything like that. We just have some rooms with tables and chairs where we sit down and go through the books. Govandi East is a crowded and busy neighborhood, and we are right there in the thick of it. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. We’ve been here for some time now, helping the kids around here with their subjects. We don't use any corporate language or have big mission statements. We just try to explain things in a way that makes sense. Sometimes it takes a few tries for a student to understand something, and that is okay. We just keep at it. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and informal. Parents stop by to chat about how their children are doing. It’s a community-based thing for us. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in the city. We just want to do a good job for the families in Govandi East. Our days are full of talking and writing on the board. It’s simple, honest work. We like being in this part of town and being a part of the kids' lives as they grow up and learn new things.
