Ajinkya Electronic Systems, Mumbai

Ajinkya Electronic Systems is based in Mahim West, over at the Kakad Industrial Estate. We are at No. 131, which is just off L. J. Cross Road No. 3. Being in Mumbai means we’re used to the hustle and the tight spaces of an industrial building. Our workshop is usually a mess of electronics, soldering irons, and testing boards. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit or try to look professional. We are more comfortable in our old work shirts, trying to figure out why a particular circuit isn’t behaving the way we want it to. The building is a typical Mumbai industrial structure—functional, a bit old, and always busy. We get a lot of noise from the surrounding streets, but once we get into the work, we don't notice it much. We’ve been making electronic systems here for a while now. A lot of what we do involves sitting at the bench for long hours under bright lights. It takes a certain kind of patience to get the electronics right. People from all over the city come by when they need a specific controller or an electronic display. We don't have a big marketing department or any fancy brochures. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just looking up local manufacturers in the Mahim area. It’s a small team, and we all know each other’s habits. We just try to make things that last and do the job they were designed for. It keeps us occupied.
