The fan makes a bit of a clicking sound in the corner of the room here at D-22 in Malad West. It has been like that for a few months now, but we just get used to it while the students are working on their math problems. Agarwal Classes isn't a very large place, but we have enough benches to fit the local kids who come by after their regular school hours. Usually, the afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we keep the curtains drawn until about four o'clock. Most of the time it’s just the sound of pens scratching on paper and someone occasionally asking to use the washroom. The stairs leading up to our unit are a bit narrow, so everyone has to go one by one when the batches change over. We keep a big water jar in the corner because it gets quite hot in this part of Malad during the summer months. Sometimes the parents wait outside on the landing if they’re early to pick up their children. It is mostly just a quiet routine of checking homework and setting up the next day’s lessons. We have been at this D-22 address for a while now, and the neighbors in the building don't mind the noise much since the kids are generally well-behaved. It isn't anything fancy, just a few whiteboards and some sturdy wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep the registers stacked on the main desk.
