You can find A A Engineers over at Plot No.17/F/7 in Shivaji Nagar, Govandi. It’s a busy industrial pocket where people are always working with their hands. Our workshop is a bit dusty and smells like metal and machine oil most of the time. We do a lot of fabrication and repair work for various engineering projects. There are no fancy chairs or air conditioning here; we just have some stools and heavy-duty workbenches. The noise of the grinders and drills is pretty constant throughout the day. We started this place because we liked the idea of building things that actually last. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, especially when a big job comes in at the last minute. The floor is concrete and usually has some scrap metal lying around. We keep our tools organized on a big pegboard against the back wall, though a few wrenches always seem to go missing. Most of the guys who work here live nearby, so it feels like a local crew. We don't have a website or anything like that; people usually just find us by walking into the yard. It’s an honest way to make a living and we take pride in the stuff we make, even if nobody ever sees it once it's installed. The work is tough but we are used to it and wouldn't change it.
