White Apple Llp is tucked away on the fourth floor of Mahadev Tower, which is part of the Thakur Complex in Kandivali East. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded and lively it gets. Our office is in unit B 404. It is a pretty standard space. We have got desks pushed against the walls and plenty of power strips for all our computers. The view from the fourth floor is not much, just other buildings and the busy streets below. We spend most of our hours here working through whatever tech problems or projects are on the list for that day. It is not a corporate headquarters with glass walls and suits. It feels more like a lived-in space where work actually gets done. Sometimes the lift in Mahadev Tower is busy, so we end up waiting a while or just walking up the stairs. Thakur Complex has everything nearby, so we usually grab lunch from one of the local shops downstairs. We are not a huge firm with hundreds of people. It is just a handful of us making things happen. We do not use much jargon or have long meetings for no reason. We just sit down, open the laptops, and get to it. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the AC is always running. Working in Mumbai means you are always in the middle of the noise. We just keep our heads down and focus.
