Our office is actually a flat, number 403/A in the Sanghavi Majestic building. It’s located on Manmala Tank Road in Mahim. It’s a very local Mumbai vibe around here. Working from a residential building means it feels a lot less like a cold office and more like a home. You hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day, people shouting on the street or the smell of someone’s cooking from another floor. We like it this way because it’s relaxed. We handle IT stuff from our desks in the living room area mostly. It’s not a huge space, so we all know what everyone else is working on at any given time. Sometimes we have to move boxes out of the way to make room for a new server or some equipment that just arrived. The commute to Mahim is pretty easy for most of us, which is a big plus in this city. We don’t have fancy signs or a big lobby. You just buzz the flat and come up. It’s a practical way to run things without all the overhead of a big commercial tower. We’ve got our workstations set up where they fit, and we spend our time making sure things are secure for our clients. It’s just a handful of us doing our thing every day. Sometimes we walk down to the local market just to get a break from the screens for ten minutes.
