Sagar Bricks Udyog

Sagar Bricks Udyog is located out in Gangatha, specifically the Sarotar area. We are positioned pretty close to National Highway-28, so the sound of trucks going by is something we have gotten used to over the years. This part of East Camparan has a lot of open space, which helps with drying out the bricks before they go into the kiln. We started this udyog because there was a need for building materials in the local villages. It is mostly just manual labor here. We dig the earth, mix it, and press it into molds. It is a long process that depends a lot on the sun. If the sun stays out, we have a good week. If it gets cloudy or humid, we just have to wait it out. There are no fancy machines doing the work for us, just hands and a bit of sweat. My uncle and I usually manage the daily tasks, making sure the workers have what they need. Sometimes the highway traffic makes it hard for deliveries to get in or out, but we manage. We are not looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to keep the local builders supplied so they can finish their homes. If you are driving down the NH-28, you might see the smoke from our chimney. We have been here a long time and plan to stay for a while longer. It is just how we make our living out here.
