If you drive down the Jetpar Road towards Rangpar, you’ll find us at Survey Number 299. This whole area is all about ceramics, and we are right in the middle of it. The air always has a bit of that earthy smell from the clay and the dust from the factories. We spend most of our time dealing with the ceramic production side. It’s heavy work and everything is usually covered in a thin layer of white dust by the end of the shift. We don't have a big fancy office; we mostly spend our time near the kilns or checking the stock in the yard. The road outside is always busy with big lorries carrying tiles to different parts of the country. It’s a loud place, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We start early when it’s still a bit cool. The work is mostly about watching the temperatures and making sure the batches come out looking right. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon getting it back up. It’s just how it goes here. We have a small crew and everyone knows their job. We drink a lot of water and try to stay out of the direct sun when we can. It’s hard work, but it’s what keeps the place running.
