Our factory is over in the Patel Industrial Estate, right on Jetpur Road in the Bela area. If you know where Janta Park is, we’re just a short walk from there. Working with PVC means there’s always a certain smell in the air and the constant rhythmic sound of the machines running in the background. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not exactly quiet or pretty, but it’s where the work gets done. We’ve got stacks of pipes and materials piled up in the corners, and the floor is usually covered in little bits of plastic. The guys on the floor have been with us for a long time, and they know the machines inside out. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just make the products and get them loaded onto the trucks. Sometimes the traffic on Jetpur Road makes it a nightmare to get things out on time, but we do our best. During lunch, some of us walk over toward the park just to see a bit of green and get away from the noise for twenty minutes. It’s honest work, and we don’t pretend it’s anything else. We’re just a local business trying to keep things running smoothly and making sure the stuff is ready when people come to pick it up. It’s a long day, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of things here.
