Riga Ceramics

Riga Ceramics is located out on the Morbi-Jetpar Road, right near Rangpar in the Jivapar area. This is the heart of the ceramic industry, so there are factories and warehouses everywhere you look. Our spot is pretty typical for this area. It’s a mix of an office and a storage space. There’s always the smell of clay and dust in the air. We spend most of our time coordinating with the production side and making sure the boxes are labeled right. It’s a lot of physical work and the phone never seems to stop ringing. The office floor is a bit uneven, so my desk wobbles if I lean on it the wrong way. We have a small window that looks out onto the road, and we see the ceramic trucks going back and forth all day long. It's a hardworking environment. We don't have any air conditioning in the main warehouse, so it gets really sweaty in the summer. We just drink a lot of cold water and keep moving. There's a little roadside dhaba nearby where we usually get our lunch. The food is spicy and good. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just making ceramics and trying to keep the business running smooth in this busy industrial belt. It’s a lot of hours but we are used to it. The sunsets over the factories are actually quite nice if you catch them.
