Yellow Treasures

We’ve been on Prince Road for a bit now. Yellow Treasures is just our small space here. It’s a simple setup. The street gets fairly crowded in the evenings when everyone is finishing work. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background while we sort through things. It’s not a complicated business. We just deal with what we have and try to keep things moving. Some days are quieter than others, which gives us time to clean up or reorganize the shelves. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but people still find their way to us. The building isn't brand new, it has its quirks like the squeaky front door that we keep meaning to oil but never do. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic outside. It's just part of being on Prince Road. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local spot. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the nearby houses. We know their names and what they usually look for. It’s a steady pace of life. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. We try to keep the place looking decent enough. It’s just us here most of the time, keeping the lights on and doing the work that needs doing every single day. There is always something to wipe down or a floor to sweep before we close up for the night.
