Connection Apparel Sourcing

Connection Apparel Sourcing is located on Kala Piyada Street, near the Sambhali Gate. It is an old part of the town with narrow streets and lots of activity. We don't actually make the clothes ourselves here. What we do is find the right fabrics and factories for people who want to produce clothing. We are the middle link. Our office is small and filled with fabric swatches and sample books. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to local weavers and tailors. It is a lot of back and forth. Sometimes a client wants a specific shade of blue that is hard to find, so we have to go out and scout the markets. Sambhali Gate is a busy area, so there is always someone coming in or out. We have been doing this sourcing work for a long time. We know which units are good for heavy cotton and which ones are better for light summer wear. It is not a glamorous job. It involves a lot of dusty walks and checking the quality of seams. We keep records of everything in big ledgers and on our old computers. The street outside is usually loud with carts and scooters, but we are used to the noise by now. We just focus on getting the right materials moved to the right places so the production stays on schedule. It is a lot of logistics and talking, but it works for us and keeps the trade moving.
