S. Y. Exports

S. Y. Exports is based out of the SY Compound on Jigar Road, over in Dewan Ka Bazar. The compound is an old place with a big iron gate that squeaks every time someone opens it. We have a couple of rooms here where we keep the records and handle the shipping paperwork. It’s not the easiest place to find if you’re not from around here because the lanes in Dewan Ka Bazar can be a bit of a maze. We’ve had to give directions over the phone more times than I can count. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been here since the start. There’s a small courtyard where we sometimes sit during breaks when the weather isn’t too hot. We deal with exports, so there’s always a bit of stress around deadlines and making sure the paperwork for the customs guys is all correct. It’s mostly just family and a few neighbors working here. We don't have a website that works right or any fancy brochures. We just rely on the people we've known for years. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains really hard, so we have to move the files around. It’s just a normal, everyday business trying to get through the week. We keep our heads down and focus on getting the crates packed up and sent out on time.
