Looba Fashions

Looba Fashions is located at D-414 Rajdwara. It’s a place that stays quite busy with the sound of sewing machines and the rustle of different fabrics. We have piles of cloth stacked up against the walls—cottons, silks, and synthetics mostly. The building itself is an older one, and the stairs are a bit narrow, so moving large rolls of fabric up and down can be a real workout. We don’t have a fancy showroom with mannequins in the window. Instead, our space is filled with cutting tables and racks of half-finished garments. My desk is tucked in a corner under a bright light where I check the patterns and the stitching. Rajdwara is a crowded area, so there is always a lot of noise from the street coming through the windows. We have a few tailors who have been working with us for a long time, and they know exactly how to handle the machines. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to be packed, drinking tea and listening to the radio while we work. It isn’t a glamorous fashion house like you see on TV. It’s a workshop where we focus on getting the seams straight and the buttons sewn on tight. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and packing boxes for delivery. It’s a simple life, but it keeps the machines running and the bills paid.
